Laughter, a great gift to mankind to keep him sane
And free of ills.
A life without laughter is like a night sky without stars
A dark valley with no light in the horizon
A home without laughter is like a violin without strings
A perfume without its fragrance
A pearl without lustre
Surely it would look like a place of gloom
God intends us to have laughter
Lots of them if possible
Bellyful and heartwarming laughter
bring joy to the hearer and to the bearer
A baby's laughter melts the mother's heart
like the morning sun on misty meadows
Preschoolers laughter peels like chiming bells across the playground
Teenagers laughter echoing down school corridors
brings up smiles on tensed up faces of teachers walking down the hallways.
Yet, why does such laughter find its way out
when childhood turns into adulthood?
Has the heaviness of responsibility
robbed us of our right to laugh?
Laughter is a medicine that oils the bones and marrow
says the Good Book and physicians.
Therapy of laughter is administered to the sick and lonely these days
to rejuvenate their souls and bring healing to their bodies
After all, laughter is free and cost nothing
Then, why is it missing in many homes at this day and age?
Families are existing like strangers under the same roof
with no jest for fun or laughter
Please bring back laughter in your lives, dear friends
laugh till your belly hurts and bring health and joy to your body
Laughter is contagious
So, lighten up the spirit of your surrounding with your laughter
However, be cautious that neither you nor anyone around you
laugh at another person and bring pain for any reason.
