If I say, there is no God
I must be either totally blind both in my eyes and mind
Or I must be so arrogant to acknowledge Him
Whose handiwork and love he sees all around him.
How can I say that there's no God
when my eyes behold the beauty of the morning sky
with its lovely hues at early dawn
Or the dark starry night with shining arrays of twinkling lights
Even the blind with no sight never denied the presence
of the Almighty
For they keep the eyes of their heart wide open
to see Him in their mind and make heart thrilling hymns for us to sing
If they could raise their voice in praise worthy worship
how can anyone dare to proclaim there is no God?
Haven't they seen a sunset or mesmerized by slow fall of soft snow
Wondered about the growth of the baby in the womb to all perfection
Or their own bodies working so well-the heart, brain, lungs and liver
coordinating in perfect union that no regime with strictest discipline
could stand in comparison
You, who have denied God's existence for reasons only you know
Please take a moment to see God's love in the embrace of a loved one
His faithfulness in the rising of the sun day after day
His power in the sight of the vast ocean and sound of waterfalls.
Yes, poverty, injustice, war and tsunami do make us
question the love and existence of an invisible God
Yet, if we could realize we too play a part to make this world better or worse
we would stop blaming God for everything
And try to see, hear and know Him through good and bad around us.
