Today

Each day is a gift from God
Let's not take this gift for granted
For if we do, we are sure to miss the beauty of it.
If I choose to spend my time in complaining about it
I'm sure to grief the heart of giver of this gift.
And if I am prone to waste it by poor choices
I can blame no one but me
Me... alone.

But, if I see each day as a gift
And accept it with a heart of gratitude
No one would see me with a bad attitude
And those around me too would be blessed
to have a great and pleasant day

If I waste no time in worrying about tomorrow
but take hold of today-the present from above
And treat it as if I will not have a chance to
See this day again,
My outlook on life would change for the better
 Joy and peace would follow me around all day.
